Luke Vedick, of Vedick Tattoo, a local tattoo artist was wanting a website to help showcase his artwork and tattoo work and help grow his business. He originally just self promoted via Facebook and Instagram, which whilst has helped him grow over the past 4-5 years to an extent, doesn't have the same reach as possible with websites.
With the business starting to grow, a better online presence and branding was required. Being able to grow more organically through Google searches, and a more professional looking portfolio and somewhere to advertise the services available.
Umbraco is an easy to use and friendly CMS. The website is a small two page design, but delivers what it needs to for a small, independent tattoo artist. Umbraco allows for simple, yet effective CMS editing.
The CMS allows quick and easy editing, to upload new gallery items to the portfolio for visitors to the site to view as well as provide the capabilities to add/update any information about the business.
The goal was to branch away from using social media as the primary source of advertising and promoting the business. The requirements were simple; a portfolio to upload images to and provide a funnel for visitors to get in touch via a contact form instead of all contact coming via social media.
With Vedick Tattoo growing as a business, it made sense to start building an online presence too to attract more customers and able to push the services more and take advantage of SEO to attract those customers from the local area.
Vedick Tattoo plans to branch out in to clothing in the future, so the site will be updated accordingly to provide ecommerce capabilities
